Block City

What are you able to build with your blocks?
Castles and palaces, temples and docks.
Rain may keep raining, and others go roam,
But I can be happy and building at home.

Let the sofa be mountains, the carpet be sea,
There I'll establish a city for me:
A kirk and a mill and a palace beside,
And a harbor as well where my vessels may ride.

Great is the palace with pillar and wall,
A sort of a tower on top of it all,
And steps coming down in an orderly way
To where my toy vessels lie safe in the bay.

This one is sailing and that one is moored:
Hark to the song of the sailors on board!
And see on the steps of my palace, the kings
Coming and going with presents and things!

Silly Little Poem

A poem
For anyone who seeks it
For anyone
Who can understand
A poem
For all that I love
For all who know and those who don’t
A poem for my mother
For my father
Bleeding through me everyday
Clinging to me everyday
To believe in myself
To believe
That what I need is within

Here is a poem of romance and chivalry
Jealously and
Murder
A poem for friendship
That I can’t see
For adoration from afar
A poem for hardship
It’s all I see
A poem for him and her
You and I and our child
Our rotting minds

…This silly little poem

My Poem

This is not yet my poem
the poem of my soul & of my blood….no
i still lack knowledge & power 2 write my poem
the great poem i feel turning in me
my poem wanders aimlessly
my poem is made 2 suffer shyly
in the closed room of a worthless boss idling
to build up an appetite for the violation
my poem knows nothing of itself
nor how 2 plead
my poem was made 2 give itself
to surrender itself
without asking for anything
but my poem is not fatalist
my poem is a poem that already wants & already knows

Poem

Poem is about saying something,
But not saying it…
Poem is about expressing your feeling,
But just moon and stars…
Poem is about telling a whole story,
But it just a short poem…

Poem is about revealing your secret,
But remain a secret…
Poem is about writing a diary,
But it just a bunch of weird phrase…
Poem is about just write something,
But its code and arrangement…

Poem is about love and hatred,
Poem is about joy and sorrow;
Poem is about beauty and tragedy,
Poem is about advise and etcetera.

Poem is about art,
But poem is about more than just art…
Poem is for everybody,
But the poem is only for yourself…
Poem is about ‘you’,
But only you…

Poem…the way you describe it,

Poem…the way I describe it;
Complicated,
Poem…the way I describe it…
I just love it.

A Celebration of Life

Gather ’round and celebrate the joy that has been given.
A gift of love – of flesh and blood. A tiny bit of heaven.

See the wonder of it all, and marvel at the sight,
Share the happiness we know, celebrate the life.

Make memories of the times to come, of hours and days and years.
Mark down each step, each task, each word – the laughter and the tears.

For a celebration of life is such, that one must never be
In too big a hurry to stop and smell… to feel… to touch… to see.

Yes, gather ’round and celebrate the life that has been given,
A gift of love – of hope eternal. Our tiny bit of heaven.

Starlight Eyes

My star, sparkling shine, radial eye lost in dark blue night
Shooting sight, reflective bright, holy traces from pointless fight
Light of night, unholy plight, beautiful hope of sacred light
Hope in sky, obsesive lie, demise my song of what I thought was right

Pair of eyes, sparkling shines, stare and glare below to admire their might
In clean white sky, with pure atire, blacks the eyes until the ray of night
The birth of right, the birth of fight, anounced in shines within the hope of light
The holy birth, the birth of sins, ominious words of the chains of fright

I Loved You

I loved you from the very start,
You stole my breath, embraced my heart.
Our life together has just begun,
You’re part of me my little one.

As mother with child, each day I grew,
My mind was filled with thoughts of you.

I’d daydream of the things we’d share,
Like late-night bottles and teddy bears.
Like first steps and skinned knees,
Like bedtime stories and ABC’s.

I thought of things you’d want to know,
Like how birds fly and flowers grow.
I thought of lessons I’d need to share,
Like standing tall and playing fair.

When I first saw your precious face,
I prayed your life be touched with grace.
I thanked the angels from above,
And promised you unending love.

Each night I lay you down to sleep,
I gently kiss your head and cheek.
I count your little fingers and toes,
I memorize you eyes and nose.

I linger at your nursery door,
Awed each day I love you more.
Through misty eyes, I dim the light,
I whisper “I Love You” every night.

I loved you from the very start,
You stole my breath, embraced my heart.
As mother and child our journey’s begun,
My heart’s yours forever little one.

Where Did You Come From, Baby Dear?

Where did you come from, baby dear?
Out of the everywhere into here.

Where did you get your eyes so blue?
Out of the sky as I came through.

What makes the light in them sparkle and spin?
some of the starry spikes left in.

Where did you get that little tear?
I found it waiting when I got here.

What makes your forehead so smooth and high?
A soft hand stroked it as I went by.

What makes your cheek like a warm white rose?
I saw something better than anyone knows.

Whence that three-cornered smile of bliss?
Three angels game me at once a kiss.

Where did you get this pearly ear?
God spoke, and it came out to hear.

Where did you get those arms and hands?
Love made itself into hooks and bands.

Feet, whence did you come, you darling things?
From the same box as the cherubs’ wings.

How did they all just come to you?
God thought about me, and so I grew.

But how did you come to us, you dear?
God thought about you, and so I am here.

07k….Believe

Can you believe it, did you miss the news
Barack Obama will be wearing the presidents shoes
black men living in every land
believe it’s possible for something grand

Instilled in everyone from the very start
belief in a dream, or belief in our heart
it is possible to believe
it is possible to achieve

Believe in better, believe it’s possible
believe there’s a rainbow just over that hill
believe that today is just the start
believe with faith always in your heart

I Believe

I believe
in one who sets me free
I believe
in one who heals me
I believe
in one who comforts me
I believe
in one who gives me joy
I believe
in one who softens my heart
I believe
in one who gives me everything
I believe
in one who leads me
I believe
in one who speaks to me
I believe
in one who gives me life
I believe
in one who shows me mercy
I believe
in one who prays for me
I believe
in one who is wonderful
I believe
in one who died for me
Now who do you believe in?
