The Greed of Man

The majesty of mountains fills the heart and mind with awe,
The rivulets of water as their caps begin to haw,
Rush down the lush green girdled sides and mingle with the stream,
The wreath of mist on lower slopes is like an unreal dream,
The trees that grow on sloping sides reach pwards to the sky,
Straight and tall these wonders grow although the ground awry,
The birds that live within its mantle live and play and die,
The deer in season lifts its head and gives its plaintive cry,
The furry possum pauses in it meal of glossy eaves,
To listen to the morepork as its tending to its needs,
But new sounds in this wonderland means something here is wrong,
And in a few more years this paradise is gone,
The thunder of the engines, and the smell of acrid smoke,
Natures creatures living here can give up all their hope,
For the greed of man is insatiable nothing bars the way,
The money made will soon be gone, but its our children who will pay…

If You Believe

Your diploma means a future without boundaries,
A world that’s full of energy and fun.
So as you reach for all life has to offer,
Remember that you’re second to no one. Pursue your goals, yet keep your loved ones close,
As you utilize your talent and ambition.
Let your friends and family give you their support,
And you’ll master every challenging transition. And always, (graduate’s name), know you can achieve
The things you really want, if you believe. by Joanna Fuchs

Bright Future

Now that you’ve graduated
Nothing can stop you now.
You’ve worked hard to get your diploma;
It’s time to take a bow. Congratulations graduate!
Your future looks strong and bright.
May you achieve the things you hope for
And have a life of sheer delight.by

A Fear

I’m trying not to fall in love again
Been hurt once and can still remember the pain
Struggled all the way to stay sane
Fought thru’ despair to push away the rain
For the sun to emerge and brighter days to reign
No more love but a life that was simple and plain.

Then you appeared and told me I have everything to gain
Because you love me and your love will remain
I want to trust you and let my heart attain
A kind of happiness with you that can sustain
Thru’ all the ups and downs, no matter the strain
But it’s hard to let go of this fear that all would be in vain.

The Future

The future: time’s excuse
to frighten us; too vast
a project, too large a morsel
for the heart’s mouth.

Future, who won’t wait for you?
Everyone is going there.
It suffices you to deepen
the absence that we are.

Windows

I Open My Windows and What do I See?
More Windows Waiting for Me.
I Open and Close
With the Click of My Mouse
And Watch the Whole World
From Inside My House
Explore Windows and ME

Fallen Through Infaduation

I spoke, Now i’ve got nothing to lie of,
cry out to get away with it, and feel aggrevated for something
I’ll be honest then realize when i’m not.

The moment i fall
watch me stand up
however it feels to recover from torment and pain
this affection should last awhile.

If you ever feel hurt, scared, or anything
tell me, then say why i’ve walked too far

I’m keeping you in my heart.
If you hurt me,I’ll damage the outside to know how breakdowns cure.
the words can stay put.
the touches last to swirls, when you leave.

I’ll look in my eyes
then convince myself to hope-my elusions turned to static thoughts
I’ve seen alot in a persons eyes I haven’t actually looked,
now that i have, i’ve shown my windows then figured it bliss, infaduation in the worst twist.

Asleep

As far from pity as complaint,
As cool to speech as stone,
As numb to revelation
As if my trade were bone.

As far from time as history,
As near yourself to-day
As children to the rainbow’s scarf,
Or sunset’s yellow play

To eyelids in the sepulcher.
How still the dancer lies,
While color’s revelations break,
And blaze the butterflies!

Funeral Poem of the Month

I walked away that morning, without a backward glance,
I didn’t know that moment was going to be our last.
The last time I would hold you or see your lovely face,
The last time I would kiss you and feel your strong embrace.

So solid and so real,so vibrant and alive,
A happy face with twinkling eyes, my fine young man, my child.
My first-born son, my Adam, the apple of my eye,
so cruelly taken from me, I never said goodbye.

The shattered remnant of my heart is strangely beating still,
with holes so black and fathomless no light could ever fill.
I don’t know how I face each day without my darling boy.
Gone is all the happiness, the love of life, the joy.

The years stretch on before me, so bleak and dark and long,
I pray you walk beside me, son, and help to keep me strong.
And when my life is over, come to me on that day,
and smile at me and hold me tight and carry me away.

the wind that whispers through the trees, the brightest star at night,
a rainbow on a dismal day, a shaft of golden light,
All these are signs you send to me, a message from above,
that even death can’t break the bonds of Son and Mother Love…

The Bullfrog Song

The bullfrog sang the strangest song, he sang it night and day.
Ker-runk, ker-runk, ker-runk, ker-runk, ker-runk, was all it seemed to say.
A duck who liked to sing thought he would give the song a try:
Ker-runk, quack, quack, ker-runk, quack, quack they sang as I walked by.

The spotted cow had never heard a more delightful song.
Right then and there the spotted cow began to sing along.
The frog, the duck, the spotted cow sang out so loud and clear:
Ker-runk, quack, quack, ker-runk, moo, moo was all that I could hear.

The speckled hen, a mother hen, whose work was never done,
began to sing for she knew when you sing your work is fun.
The frog, the duck, the cow, the hen, all sang the happy song:
Ker-runk, quack, quack, moo, moo, cluck, cluck, they sang the whole day long.
