‘Hero’

My hero is no hero at all.
My hero silently walks these empty halls.
As I falter…
As I fall…
My hero continues to walk these silent…empty halls,
These halls are windows into my hell.
Servants of Baal…
Here they dwell.
Frozen inequities… How fickle they are to me
My hero possesses no qualities at all.
My hero…has virtues but none known well
My hero only protects his respect.
My hero… is no hero at all.

My hero

My hero is the best
He is better than all the rest
My hero doesn’t like to admit
That he is my hero when he dose his little bit

My hero has love and respect
Even he is my prime subject
My hero is always on my mind
Even though he is smart and kind
My hero has a special name
But I can’t tell you it cause it would put him in shame

My hero loves to pull a trick
He is not smart no is he very thick?
My hero makes me smile even though I feel crying
He says ‘I will always love you even though I am dyeing’

an annual, so he wouldn’t have to wait for the flowers.

He said, Mark, I have just the place for it!
as if he’d spent ninety-eight years

anticipating the arrival of this particular vine.

I thought poetry a brace against time,
the hours held up for study in a voice’s cool saline,

but his allegiance is not to permanent forms.
His garden’s all furious change,

budding and rot and then the coming up again;

why prefer any single part of the round?
I don’t know that he’d change a word of it;

I think he could be forever pleased
to participate in motion. Something opens.

He writes it down. Heave steadies
and concentrates near the lavender. He’s already there.

Heaven

When the rain falls
So does Heaven

When God calls
So does Heaven

When we don’t know
Heaven does

When we won’t forgive
Heaven does

When we cry
So does Heaven
The tears come pouring as rain

Heaven isn’t the things around us
Heaven is what is around us

It effects us
And we effect it
Let’s make the best of it

You Have Broken My Heart

O my mind,
Time and again
You have broken my heart
With false promises.
You are so cruel!
You are such a liar!
Even though my heart is broken,
It is healing the wounds
You have inflicted on my dedication-life.

My Sad Heart

My sad heart,
I really love you.
But I really do not know
How to make you happy.
I am trying so hard.
I have been trying so hard.
I shall be trying
The same way.
But alas, my sad heart,
Will I ever see you happy
Even once in this
Undivine and hostile incarnation?

Prohibition

Take heed of loving me;
At least remember I forbade it thee;
Not that I shall repair my unthrifty waste
Of breath and blood, upon thy sighs and tears,
By being to thee then what to me thou wast;
But so great joy our life at once outwears;
Then, lest thy love by my death frustrate be,
If thou love me, take heed of loving me.

Take heed of hating me,
Or too much triumph in the victory;
Not that I shall be mine own officer,
And hate with hate again retaliate;
But thou wilt lose the style of conqueror
If I, thy conquest, perish by thy hate;
Then, lest my being nothing lessen thee,
If thou hate me, take heed of hating me.

Yet, love and hate me too;
So, these extremes shall neither’s office do;
Love me, that I may die the gentler way;
Hate me, because thy love is too great for me;
Or let these two themselves, not me, decay;
So shall I live thy stage, not triumph be;
Lest thou thy love and hate and me undo,
To let me live, O love and hate me too.

I Hate..

I hate,
hate that I can’t trust

I hate,
hate that I must lie because they’d rather believe I’m fine.

I hate,
hate who I’ve been.

I hate,
hate to make decisions.

I hate,
hate that I can’t hate those I should.

I hate,
hate my life.

I hate,
hate that I can’t die.

I hate,
hate to live in fear and hate.

I hate,
hate my uncertainty.

I hate,
hate the lies people tell me.

I hate,
hate that I believe.

I hate,
hate those that wish their lives were mine.

I hate,
hate all emotion that’s mine.

I hate,
hate that I need others.

I hate,
hate my own d*mn incompetence.

I hate,
hate that there’s so much to hate.

Happy

Go ahead and make me sad
It’s okay if it makes you happy
Rip my heart out and stomp on it
It’s okay if it makes you happy

Pour salt inside these wounds
I’ll lick them clean if it makes you happy
Corrode my heart like an ancient ruin
I’ll live there forever if it makes you happy

I don’t care if it makes you happy
I don’t care if it makes you happy
I don’t care about myself just as long
As you’re always happy
I’ll survive all of this
As long as I know you’re always happy
Whatever makes you happy!
Whatever makes you happy!

Burn the photographs; forget about me
I’ll forget about me too, if it makes you happy
I’m so sorry if I ever hurt you
Baby you’re the only thing that makes me happy

I miss the dimple upon your chin
I just miss, being happy
I’m sorry for anything I’ve done
And I’m sorry I can’t make you happy
I just wish I could make you happy

Free Happy Birthday Poem

On his birthday
He was both happy and unhappy.
He was happy because
His friends were congratulating him.
He was unhappy because
He had accomplished so little
During so many years on earth.
